Will Roy Williams Debut the Air Jordan Dior for the Duke Game?

As we head into our first ever virtual #BEATDOOK week, Carolina fans on Twitter are hopeful that Roy Williams will continue to bring the heat with his shoe game. The ideal sneaker for the week? The Air Jordan 1 Retro High Dior. The popular and highly sought-after shoe will be the pinnacle of a fire shoe collection that Roy has shown off this season.

@UNC_Basketball has given us a close-up look at each pair of Jordan's that Roy has rocked this season. Let's hit the highlights.

For the season opener on Nov. 25, 2020 v. College of Charleston, Roy caught the attention of sneakerheads everywhere with the Air Jordan 13 Low PE "UNC."

After arriving in Asheville for the 2020 Camping World Maui Invitational Tournament, Roy pulled out the Air Jordan 11 Retro "UNC" for the game against Texas. I am not sure what received more attention that night, Roy's flex or the questionable commentary by Bill Walton.

Jumping ahead to the Dec. 12, 2020 game against North Carolina Central University, Roy donned the Air Jordan 1 Low "White Camo." This one takes the cake in my opinion. Yes, they are not Roy's typical Carolina blue accessory, but he really pulled these off.

On Jan. 16, 2020 at Florida State University, Roy blessed us all with the Air Jordan 1 Retro "UNC." Fans on Instagram and Twitter had been waiting all season for the OG 1's to make an appearance.

There are too many greats and UNC PE's to choose from, so let me leave you with the most recent showstopper worn against Pitt for the Coaches v. Cancer game. The Air Jordan Retro 3 "Georgetown."

It is no secret that Roy probably has a closet just for his Jordan's, including those gifted to him by the GOAT and founder of the Jordan Brand himself. But what could be done with this shoe collection that Roy has modeled all season? The Carolina and college basketball community is aware of Roy's philanthropic efforts, like funding the scholarships of senior spring sport athletes whose seasons were cancelled due to COVID-19. So, I suggest that Roy auction off his game-worn collection at the end of the season to support UNC Athletics or a charity aimed at COVID relief.

The question remains, will Roy break out the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Dior for the first Duke game of the season? Will he wait to debut them in the Smith Center? Coach K could never. Carolina fans on Twitter remain hopeful.

If you are interested in the full list of Jordan's worn by Coach Roy Williams this season, send me a message. I would love to share my findings from hours on Sneakernews.com.
